Gionee M2017 features a massive 7,000 mAh battery and comes in two designs - Metal and Leather
The Gionee M2017 premium smartphone has been launched in China at a hefty base price of CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 68,400). As of now, there is no word whether the new Gionee M2017 will be released in other regions or stay exclusive to China.

Even though Gionee M2017 packs several interesting features, probably the most interesting is its battery capacity. Gionee M2017 comes with two 3500mAh batteries inside, providing total battery capacity of 7000mAh, which come with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The company claims that the M2017 smartphone gives a video playback time of up to 25.89 hours and a standby time of 915.42 hours.
Gionee M2017 comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), and is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 SoC. It comes with 6GB RAM with two inbuilt storage options – 128/256GB. and inside sports 6GB of RAM, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The Gionee M2017 measures 155.2x77.6x10.78mm and weighs 238 grams. The smartphone features a fingerprint scanner at front for advanced security and comes with a textured back for premium feel. The connectivity options for Gionee M2017 include 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Interestingly, the phone doesn't come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, but only sports a USB Type-C port
In terms of optics, Gionee M2017 comes with a dual-camera setup (12-megapixel + 13-megapixel) at the rear end, with support for 2X optical zoom and 8X digital zoom, and an 8-megapixel camera at front for taking selfies. The Gionee M2017 is available with inbuilt storage of 128GB but there is no microSD card support for expandable storage.
In the past, Gionee has made smartphones with large battery capacities, including the Marathon series; of which the Marathon M5 comes with a 6020 mAh battery.
Gionee M2017 Price : Two Editions Available
There will be two versions of the Gionee M2017 sold in China. One has 128GB of on-board storage for Yuan 6999 (about $1,007) while the version with 256GB of storage is priced at Yuan 6,999 (about $2,446). Obviously, with those kinds of prices, this phone is being made for a very select crowd of consumers. There’s no word on when or if the Gionee M2017 will be released outside of China.
The new Gionee M2017 smartphone has already gone up for preorder in China, but the company has yet to offer any details regarding when or if the handset might reach other markets as well.
