HMD Global launches Nokia 6 with Android Nougat in China

Nokia 6 smartphone launched by HMD Global. The phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch. 



Nokia has finally made a comeback with its first Android smartphone called Nokia 6.HMD Global has finally announced the first Nokia Android smartphone, after much rumours and speculations.
The Nokia N6 smartphone features a unibody metal body along with fingerprint scanner. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D Gorilla Glass display.the Nokia 6  has a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front camera for selfies.

The Nokia 6 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. The home button in Nokia 6 doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. Nokia 6 is a 4G-enabled smartphone that supports Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB-OTG.
“Just a short while ago we announced the launch of HMD Global. From the outset we have stated that we intend to move with speed to establish a position as a player in the smartphone category and create products that truly meet consumer needs. The Nokia 6 is a result of listening to our consumers who desire a beautifully crafted handset with exceptional durability, entertainment and display features,” said Arto Nummela, CEO, HMD Global. 
“China is the largest and most competitive smartphone market in the world. It is no coincidence that we have chosen to bring our first Android device to China with a long-term partner," said Nestor Xu, Vice President Greater China, HMD Global.
HMD Global has released the phone only for the China market at the moment. It has reasoned that China is a strategically important market “where premium design and quality is highly valued by consumers”. Which could be true of lot many other countries as well.However, Nokia 6 won’t be the only smartphone coming out this year from HMD Global. It has hinted in its press release that there will be more devices coming by H1 2017.
HMD Global is a Finnish firm that owns the rights to sell Nokia-branded smartphones. It is said to working on four new smartphones having display sizes ranging from 5.0 to 5.7-inches.
Nokia 6 will be available exclusively in China through JD.com. Available in early 2017, Nokia 6 is 1699 CNY, which roughly translates to Rs 16,990. There is no word on the availability and price of the Nokia 6 smartphone in India.
